winter sledding

Simon and I went sledding tonight. We had the 3 person snow spinner and kelsey’s old snowboard. We had expected to catch a few others out but they had already turned in for the night. It will be 26 below freezing tonight and it was getting cold when we left. Shortly after we arrived a group of a few guys and a cute girl showed up (overheard saying “next time I go drinking I’m brining gloves”) with garbage bags ready to hit the hill. I suggested we let them use the Snow Spinner and got a good picture of them.

Another day of c++. Evan and I really need to finish up tomorrow. The image on the left is my desktop. I’m now running at 1900×1440 so its hard to find wallpapers at that res.

I had a very nice supper and visit with Hetty today and have another volleyball game tomorrow night. We should win. Though the chances of the team making playoffs is getting worse.

c++ and me

Evan Kelsey and I just pulled a major all nighter to try and finish our first networks programming assignment. We had to write a program that can run in real-mode 80×86 (ie MS-DOS) and have serial communications with another computer. After working from noon yesterday until 7:30am this morning we’re almost done but decided to get some sleep and pass in a well done report a day late.

Study hard and you can be a nerd

I started this blog during exams last term. Something other than the books to keep my mind on. It seems like I’m back in that situation again. EMF is coming back to haunt me.

I’ve never really felt like this before an exam. I constantly say how I should study and how I’m going to study but I don’t. I’d love to sit down and do work on all my courses, real-time systems or networks, but I don’t feel like studying for this exam again. This course really isn’t well suited for me.

If you think I’m just talking about nothing check out the link to the courses webpage and get back to me… Dalhousie University Electromagnetic Fields ECED 3300
