Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. My mother and Alex came down to visit for a week. After a night out with the Canadian High Commissioner (Ambassador for Commonwealth country) they stayed at my home here in Kingston. The next day we headed off for Montego Bay. Normally it?s a 3 hour drive but there was a 16 wheeler blocking the road on the way up so we had to backtrack making it a 6 hour trip.

Once in Montego Bay we had a wonderful time though having to pay tourist prices rather than local prices got a bit tiresome. It was really nice to be in Jamaica and enjoy it with the ocean and a very nice pool all close.

Christeen came up to visit for the last two days we had it MoBay. It was nice that mom got to meet her and it was nice that Christeen got to meet some of the family.

A few of the things I got for Christmas will really help including blank CD?s and some razors.

I hope everyone else had a great Christmas too! I was thinking about all of you back home and it was nice to get a few notes from Sperry and Rena and everyone.

I’ve been here in Jamaica for three months of my six month term. I try to enjoy myself here and have made a number of great friends and had a number of learning experainces.

I really miss everyone (yes that means you) back home. Going to intramural hockey games with a large 50/50 with the ladies, going downtown. These are all things that come to an end, I guess it would just be more gradual if I was back home.

I also find it very unusual that everyone is now doing their own thing. After high school everyone went to university, but after university what does everyone do? Some have gone back to university, one got married, I moved to Jamaica. It?s an exciting time I tell you, an exciting time.
