The good life.
I’m sitting here finishing off the bottle of wine that Christeen and I started tonight. I cooked a old favorite of mine, chicken cordon blue, and picked up two types of chocolate cake from the bakery down the road for dessert.
I extended my ticket to Monday so that Christeen and I would have an extra weekend together. She is busy with school this week and I’m busy with work. I’ve got meetings and suppers planned for this week and still have a ton of people I need to visit and say thanks to before I depart.
I can’t believe I’m leaving in less than a week.

Guys Hill
I had the chance to go to Christeen’s home town Guys Hill (Lat 18? 15′ 0N : Long 77? 0′ 0W : Altitude 547m).

On Saturday Night the Miss Guys Hill Pageant was held. Christeen and I went to the town hall where there were youth hanging off the building trying to see inside. We thought that we had arrived late at 7:30 but it turned out to be good timing. The pageant was just getting underway - with questions being answered by each of the 12 participants.
After the question period there was a talent section and then a formal evening wear section. This took a surprisingly long time to complete as it was 11:30 by the time they were ready to announce the top five contestants. The announcers were dragging the even out in an attempt to make it more suspenseful. In this fashion when they were calling the name of the last girl to be in the top five the announcer asked the audience “Is it \
There was a lot of yelling, almost a fist fight, and then when the mother lifted a Smirnoff Ice bottle over her shoulder in a sign that she would throw it the crowed cleared quickly.
They ended up not declaring the winner even though everyone (but me) knew who the winner was. I have a few pics of the weekend, none really from the pageant.
