Motorcycle course done.
I finished up the motorcycle course today. I’m not sure why I didn’t take any pictures, as it was a hoot. We used Suzuki GZ250’s for all the riding (which were small for me but great for all shorter women). We spent all day Saturday riding around tracks that they setup and practicing stopping from different speeds and lane changes at speed. Today we wrote the written test and took the road test and now I have my beginner?s license. After 30 days I can go to the DMV and get my full license. All I need now is a bike (is that a joke or what?).

Computer work.
I’ve started striking up the video editing booth again. Finding that my HD’s are filling fast with over 60GB of video for this one project I don’t have much scratch space. On that note there was an interesting article about firewire HD storage, you can see some pics here. The main feature that I didn’t know about was IDE->Firewire adapters that let you have lots and lots of fast external hard drives. This is both versatile and functional since I’m fresh out of IDE connections.
I also got some new 1800mA/h bats from Princess Auto that I’m currently testing to see what sort of battery life I get. I also went shopping for a motorcycle helmet but I couldn’t pick one out. They range in price from $150-$300 and then all the way up to $1100 for ones with nice paint jobs. I think I’ll borrow one for the weekend and then buy one if I get a bike running.
update: looks like I better idea might be to get a Serial ATA Raid controller and some cheap SATA hard drives.
Some day closer
I signed up for the motorcycle course and will be taking it this weekend, rain or shine. Also I’ve signed on to help coach the St. Pat’s boys volleyball team which takes up a suprizing amount of time. Kids are good though and I’m seeing improvements already.
some day

fefe the next avril ?
