I just got a wack of hardware that will make my video editing easier. I’m glad that suprnova is helping me out with the software I need for some snazzy DVD production. Now I’ve got to spend some hours learning Adobe Encore and Premier Pro and After Effects, in that order. My plan is to have a DVD ready for my video presentation which would be very nice and I have high hopes.

I have spent the past few days roofing one of the houses in the North end. Roofing really isn’t that hard though its hot labour on a roof, what turned out to be the real pain was putting the siding back on. As it turns out siding is made to start at the bottom and lock into itself as you go up. What we had to do is take out pieces in the middle which turned out to hard to get back in.

I would take a job roofing over a job dealing with siding any day.

We got power last night and this morning I’m back in my old habbits of wasting time in front of the computer. I think I’ll bike down to the co-op office and submit a resume to the IO jobs listed. They require transcripts so it may be pointless. We’ll see.

Went over to woody’s where we (Dennis was there too) watched the first 4 eps of season 2.

In other news I still don’t have any power here at the house. We dug up an old generator that had been sitting in the basement since we moved here from Florida, cleaned out the carb, and on the fourth pull it fired up. Our neighbor soon ordered a new John Deere from Calgary and had it flown in which is nice because it runs for a long time between refills and it’s more quite. Read more …
