With the release of Spamassassin version 3 I upgraded os.com’s mail server to courier, with postfix, with procmail and spamassassin 3. I think the setup should be fast and effective at filtering out spam. The configuratino has SpamAssassin integrated into postfix so that all incoming mail runs through the spamd, then it is to the user in their .procmailrc if they want to filter the spam to a spam folder. This is the way that Dalalumni.ca should be setup, but isn’t. Anyone want an account?
I have been using Gmail for filtering and an e-mail archive for non personal e-mail (I don’t really have that much personal e-mail really). I am hoping that there will ne a next generation of webmail that will allow for faster searching and better UI etc. to replace Squrrelmail as it seems a bit dated now and they don’t offer much in customization. A new kid on the block (google) tends to kick people in the ass.
I also did a WordPress install last night at http://v4.jadz.com/. The upgrade went smoothly after I figured a few things out. The only thing that dissapoints me is I was so impressed with Sperry’s webpage until I did an install and saw that it was pretty much the default install ;).
OH SNAP.
