This bike was purchased in the summer of 2020 after discovering that the XR80 that I still has from my youth needed engine work.
While this bike was an older year, Honda hasn’t changed the XR100R much over the years.
The bike required some work before it could be used. The story that I was told when I purchased it was that it had been purchased new, used briefly, and then backed over by a car in the driveway, and then sat unused for many years:
- Bent front rim & spokes
- Missing slow (idle) jet from
- Bent handlebars
I replaced the parts with OEM honda parts for several hundred dollars, and then the bike was like new.
